Post subject:  Check your Frankenlift's before install
Just an FYI

Installed a Frankenlift on lionseye640's KJ yesterday, both top strut nuts were loose, one we turned maybe 3 to 4 turns the other was only on about 2 to 3 threads, (barely any threads showing at all above the nut) so was hardly on there. Just Happened to look at them before I shoved them up in and noticed them. Would of been a complete tear down and redo if I hadn't caught them.

but you also know that I hardly ever take pics, 501 and Chris got some I think, no group photos of the 8 that were lined up and down the street though :wink:

My neighbor asked me today if we were having a Jeep Convention or something.

Looking for a bigger house, more land and HUGE garage to have even bigger Conventions :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

well.. we have 60acres of woods here.. 2 miles of jeep trails (cut almost another 1/2 mile today.. but not quite finished so close to 2.5 miles of trails).. and a nice fire ring for cooking/camping in the woods... and they are open to any KJ.. or any amount of KJ's anytime.. anyone want to drive to western PA for a Jamboree? we could also have a wrench fest.. got a compressor and tools!

I'll tell you what I'd love to find, a setup like my uncle has

he lives in a old meat packing plant that was built in the 30s, he of course reroofed it and remodled the main office into living space, but the plant space is turned into 3 sections, frame up rebuild area, a paint booth and an engine room , coolest part is all the interrior doors are big enough to drive through :P we've got 6 pre 50's vehicles in there in varying stages of rebuild and restoration

it's wrench heaven

if i could find something like that i'd have an open garage 24-7

perhaps in a few years ill be able to aquire such a thing!
