WOW!! Rubbing the pinch on stock sized tires. That is wild. You could buy a 2 1/2" lift and probably get 5" out of it

where is that seam at? mine is worn and i am running 255 tires with no rubbing like that

thats the passenger side, right behind the tire, it started rubbing right after the new tires were put on, apparently the orig tires wore down at the same rate as the suspension plus some

I had planned to pound the pinchs when I did my front recov. points, but the fascia re-fit took longer than I had expected so I never got to it

the drivers side rubs too, just not quite as bad, i think the passenger side is about 3/8ths lower than the right

it's getting a lift this fall, if the chassis and what not is still good to go at 200k or major component failure, it will get a SFA, engine, and transcase and new paint job

Is this a common thing? I was unaware of this happening.

usually happens when your tires are too big for your lift, just small flaw in the wheel well design, easily fixed by warming and cutting the protruding plastic, lifting it up to expose the pinch weld and pounding it flat with a hammer then using extra plastic to melt the flap back down then slick it with some jb weld or something if you wish

it also happens with 'new' stock size tires when you're stock suspension is worn out too

only rubs when youre like 1/8th a turn away from full lock in whichever direction you're turning

I have a used Rusty's lift with Al's arms, strut plates, four rear isolators, with upgraded Ranchos in the back. Approximately 6000 miles on them and I ran 31x10.5s with no problems. Let me know if you're interested. If not, they will be listed soon.
