I saw a few Kjs on this site with tube bumpers. They seemed to be 05 and up. Has anyone put a tube bumper on a 04? Wondering where to put the turn signals. |

I dont think I have seen any that were on a '02-04 and any and all bumpers I have seen for a KJ are in the bumper thread. You can put the turn signal in the same place or you can move it around, I wouldnt use the OEM turn signal though I dont think they look as good as some other aftermarket turn signals |

The grills on earlier KJs are harder to make look right with a tube bumper IMO, not that it can't be done, but the shape of it is tough to get around is all. I say go for it and blaze the trail. |

I was thinking that I could box the end in and put the turn signals in there. Your rear bumper is awesome Inc. |

Thanks, I think if you could fix those "cut in" areas of the grill it will be great. |

i couldn't find the pic of that "covered up" jeep that someone posted a few days ago, that had a tube bolted to the front and rear bumper, but how hard would it be to fab up something similar to use a single tube platform similar to what i had on my old late 60's bronco i'd think it would be fairly cheep, and very strong with the added benefit that it wouldn't (or probably wouldn't) interfere with anything that would be mounted to the bottom side of the frame like the improved recovery points and what not but would be tough to mask over to to cover up the jeep goodies and what not though |

RIP Matt. Did his son keep the KJ and the tube bumper on it? |

IIRC an uncle bought the KJ and son kept the TJ. |

Was that a scratch built bumper or was if modified from another vehicle application? Never mind. The forum link answered my question. |
