Know I saw it somewhere but can't find it. How do you take the front bumper off?

just a copy paste from my post in the fab section
before ya take it off might want to hit lowes or something up for some new rivets

Open hood

Remove your grill - 4 T20 torx across the top, lean it forward and lay your grill somewhere safe

Unbolt the 2 10mm bolts under your fascia at the airdam

Press in the red retainer on your light harness plug, use your thumb nail to pull the red clip down till it stops, press down the hinge clip and wiggle the plug till it separates

use a thin screw driver to leverage out the 7 reuseable push-pin type rivets [1 to the bottom edge of each headlight, 5 across the grill backbone supports] - put them somewhere safe
It may help if you have something similar to snap ring pliers to leverage the pins out of the inserts

There's either 2 or 3 rivets through the fender flares and wheel well plastic that interfere, you can either drill them out, or cut the heads off with a pair of wire cutters - I used a brake spring tool to grab and squeeze in the stupid plastic wedge retainer pieces that are serrated to get the clips out of the fender

Wiggle the fascia around and loosen it up, lift it up and pull the bottom out, adjust the flares so that the bottom most edge is now behind and under the fascia, check to make sure you don't have a 2nd lighting harness plug (i didn't have a 2nd) - gently lift up on the tabs where the bumper hooks in below the headlights and get it unhooked, it just takes some monkeying around - put the fascia somewhere safe like out in the grass or something

Is it as much of a pain as it looks? Getting tow hooks from the stealership.and going to put them on.

i've had mine off 4 times since I did it the first time with the post

I can say one thing, it gets faster every time and i've reused teh 7/16ths push pin rivets 5-7 times now and they still hold tight as ticks

absolutely glad i didn't put the OEM fasteners back in the flares

pretty good how-to in that thing, I think once you get the grill off you'll have one of those "Ohhhh" moments where everything just falls into place

hardest part i had was getting it free from the flares

second hardest part was finding fasteners that would hold the flares back on

the holes in my flares had wallowed to the point where the OEM rivets wouldn't hold worth diddly but lowes solved that with reuseable rivets very similar to what holds the fascia to the front of the vehicle, just in the 7/16th flavor

also, if you seem to notice that the first 3 fasteners that hold the flares to the fender have either broken, separated or are missing, once you re-attach the flares to the wheel-well liner, everything will fit back tight as a tick without those fasteners. Mine seemed to have broken prior to me removing the fascia, ie: before I bought the vehicle. Which explained some of the flare fitting issues I had noticed with the flares not fitting flushly, but the larger and tighter fasteners i put in solved it

i think it varies vehicle to vehicle, just be careful not to break off the hooks on the bottom of the grill, they can be a pita

one of mine was already broken on the grill, but I just need a new grill period but i'm not replacing it until it finishes cracking in half
