Why using the daystar strut upper plates with the frankenliftlift, when the make the lift lower?, I read that somewhere on the forum. Is that why the using the 0.75"spacer? I have the ome springs 927/948 ,and rancho shocks in order. So i want to now is there a special reason. |

They do not lower anything and yes, they must be used since the .75in spacer in inside the coil over. All the daystar plates do is lower the pre-compression in the coil-over itself. Without those the coil over would have a lot of stress on it before you even put it in the Jeep. It lets you get the coil over back together with needing to compress it as much in other words. |

Dutch, you do not need the Daystar top plates on what you have ordered. If you get a Frankenlift you get a puck that goes inside the shock/spring combo and so to avoid overcompressing and/or to much pre-load on the spring you or Alj's fit the Daystar top plate which is extended. Here's a picture:

If you want to fit the spacer and make it a 4" lift yes you need to fit the daystar topplate. The 927's alone will give you around 2,5" to 3" of lift. |

I am hearing the stock spring will not be able to compress enough to fit the OEM plate. correct? |
