I know i already started a thread last week but I think I solved my problem. Please Tell me this is going to work cause I just got impulsive and bought them. I bought a pair of .75 poly spacers from Rustys, which im going to add to my BDS lift/rancho strut. I plan to Pull the clevis out so I dont stress my CV. I believe this should be similar to the Frankensteinerliftomatic or am I retarded? |

sort of on the right track but think a minute, whats the difference between running a clevis and what you are going to do? The KJ does not know how you raised it so the same amount of "stress" you are talking about on the CVs will still be there. Lot of work to come back to the same thing I think |

Impulsive = not well thought out. Do the easy 3/8" clevis lift like Tom mentioned, and save yourself all the extra work involved. Besides, with the design of the BDS strut plates your idea may not work anyway, as it could add to much length to the spring assembly and not fit back into the lower contol arm. I attempted something similar early last year with BDS strut plates and OME springs and had the same problem. Just return the spacers or sell them. |

I understand what you guys are saying. The springs settled almost and Inch and a Quarter After Installation thats why im thinking a .75 should fit. Does that not make sense? |

If you read about the BDS lift it states that it includes a new strut top bracket which creates preload on the strut, so if you add that spacer it may be too much. I will see one this weekend at will look and it real good to see if it is possible, but it doesn't seem like it from what I am reading. Now you could use a 1/4 inch Rustys top plate which would give you 1/2 inch of lift just sits on top of the strut plate |

No problem, used to be thats the only reason I worked was to have money to build stuff during the week so I could wheel on weekends. Now all you have to do is get on the internet and order whatever you want. Sure has changed in 30 years |
