I brought the Jeep in for a wheel alignment. They said there's no warranty because it's lifted, I said whatever, do it anyway---ok. 2 minutes later he comes back and says it can't be done because the UCA will be rubbing on shock (I know he meant spring) In actual fact, at first when I installed it, the UCA was rubbing a bit on the bottom spring spacer but now it isn't although it's pretty close. Did I do something wrong when I installed it or what? Any pics on here of stock UCA being close to the bottom spacer? Don't tell me I'll need to order new UCA's please...... Thanks for any help. |

Its going to be close until it settles all the way in , no question on that, but they can align it if they know what they are doing, ( problem is most are too lazy to take the time and do it right) it may be on the edge of the limits but it can and has been done a lot of times now 2 minutes is not even enough time to get it set up on the machine the right way and check everything to know how much it would need to be changed ...he's an idiot! |

that's what I figured. I'm not the only one with this kit in.... I'll wait another week or because it has settled a bit already. What I don't get is that some guys here are getting an alignment done right away and then again after it settles....perhaps they have new A-arms on. Thanks again Tom. I'm also hearing a whoop whoop whoop sound at low speeds, from what seems to be coming from the front passenger side. Would that be the tire wearing out a bit? There has been a tiny bit of wear already on the inside edge on the tire |

Mines not a Franky but I got mine aligned right away. My tires were grinding so bad I thought I did something wrong on the lift! much better after the alignment though I still have a caster issue that needs tweaking and the MT/R's are still a bit "noisy" |

Flexing out the suspension will help it settle faster. Find an offroad park and start the flexing! |

I went to a shop to get an alignment and told them it was a lifted Liberty the guy said “let me look at it” put in the lift and came back and said “it’s going to be a pain to get in specs I don’t even know if I can and I won’t be able to give you the warranty” Pretty much he was he was being a lazy idiot. I went to a different shop (Tire Plus) and I made the other shop look like lazy idiots (with a bit of exaggeration) and he tells me. “Bring it in the shop if we can’t get it in specs I’ll give you a free oil change”. I got a lifetime alignment for $120 or so. BTW lifetiem alignment is the way to go. Pretty much it might take some time, an hour or so but it can be done. Don’t let them convince you otherwise. |

I paid $65.00 when I did my lift 4 years ago , I go back in every 6 / 8 months they check it over, reset if needed and say see ya later, never a charge. Great little shop, 6 guys my age who know what they are doing and take pride in the way they do it. Way better than those big box tire/alignment/brake places Back in the 70s when I did alignments we got $29.95 and we scheduled them every hour, now days they want 4 an hour scheduled, if they think they can not do it in 15 minutes out the door it goes |

What a scam...the big sign at the front says Alignment $89.99. The guy does up the bill and says sign here(before they even start)....I see something strange, the total is way bigger. They wanted to charge me an extra $40 for a "mandatory" suspension inspection in case of leaking shocks or something. I said "No way, take it off, I just put in a new suspension. You'll notice it creaks a bit and it's normal.... I've done 3 Liberty's already, I know what I'm doing" I guess I'll try another place....also, it's hard to find any places around here to flex but I have a good imagination, I'll find ways |

I did my alignment immediately after the lift and tires went on. Then after 2 months of beating it up I went back in and had it redone. Never had the shop so boo about it, no issues, everything was nice and straight. And that is with stock UCA's. |

You need to come to Colorado Springs,I'll do your alignment, now exactly what needs to be done and doesn't take but 30-45mins max and yes we do offer lifetime alignments that will be honored no matter what suspension is under the vehicle as long as the VIN has not changed. |

well, Google Earth estimates 1 day and 4 hours drive to get there.... if my tires hadn't already started getting chewed I might consider it hahaha Maybe $100 for a wheel alignment doesn't sound so bad right now |
