Anybody got this combination and any pics of trim mods you did to keep the front bumper from rubbing? My wheels are grabbing the bottom of the bumper when turning while backing up. I already trimmed the air dam flush with the bumper and I still get rubbing when backing up and turning. Not sure I really want to trim of the bottom layer of the whole bumper but would like to see pics of those that have on an 05+ |

My '07 does the same thing. I've even trimmed a fair portion of the inner fender. I'm holding off trimming any more as I await an aftermarket front bumper. Then, I'll finish up the trimming. I don't need a winch so I'm looking forward to RockLizard's lighter duty front bumper. In the meantime, I take comfort in something I read on this forum. I'm sorry but I can't remember who said it. "My MT/R's are a lot tougher than what they are rubbing." |

air dam is already trimmed. I trimmed the air dam to follow the line of the bottom of the bumper. I am actually rubbing the bottom edge of the bumper itself. WHOA, my reply came up before the post I was replying to. must be some Jedi mind trick! |

The air dam has to be cut and the pinch weld flattened. Before I had the tires put on, I had the tire shop mount 1 to the spare and used that as a template to see where to cut. With the vehicle up on jack stands, I turned the wheel left to right and cut where contact was made. |

also wondering if the Franky would have solved this issue. I am just HD coils, no plan for a winch and wanted to preserve the CV's. |

I have the Franky, and still had rubbing on the front. Here is a pic of my Bumper:
These are the front view for the liners they are cut even cut up even higher and after this past weekend in RC I noticed that I need to cut even more or just take them out. Hope this helps. |

I had rubbing after my Daystar and new wheels with 4" BS. Even with "small" tires (235/75-15). I trimmed the whole lower air dam and bumper. I think it looks much better now. And no rubbing. Have 31x10.50's now and still no rubbing. Before
