Work in progress 12” lift kit, on a 2005 CRD http://jeepinbyal.com/prod-JBA_Big_12in_KJ-640.aspx This KJ is set up for the muddy terrain in Iowa, used in hunting expeditions. Test vehicle is almost finished, we will have ready for final testing to start the first week of May. |

Well, when you're dealing with $5,000 for a lift, what's an extra 3 or so for an SFA? That Jeep looks unsafe. Do not think it's going to be worth a darn anywhere, and ThunderbirdJunkie's KJ will probably do everything that thing will off road. that rear axle had better rotate 90 degrees for that lift to be worth $5000 ITBJHO. |

hang it on somethin real good it might just rotate 90 degrees i like the idea.. but i'm with you, throw another 3k at it and do a SFA if money is THAT tight you prob aren't gonna throw 5k at it to begin with |

Lifting any vehicle 12" is unnerving, let alone a IFS KJ. Looks a little topheavy and tipsy. Needs some 5" spacers to finish it off!! |

I hate the deceptive language of the description! It talks about 33" tires and 35" with minor trimming but no mention of what is done to stop the front diff from exploding. Is it that JBA does not have an understanding of the KJ or just doesn't care? It's just silly. |

It's just silly. i'm sure he has an understanding... and if your building a mall crawler 35's wont hurt it... my KJ with 4.10's (6speed) would be almost the same ratio as stock since it came with 3.55's. sooooo in theory a mall crawling KJ could use this lift and 35's.. it would look mean but not very practical or wheelable. However i'm with everyone else.. would do a SFA first. Still glad to be seeing steps taken to increase aftermarket support for the KJ's.. thanks JBA |

I just really don't like it... The KJ is not built for that, and I would never risk that... |

how do you get the jack off the top? |

take the step ladder out of the cargo area that you had to put in... which is probably why the jack is ontop instead of in the back to begin with |

Surely they jest. 12" of lift when folks are already running 32's without such nonsenes? With the SWB & teack-width of the KJ, this thin would only be good for a straigh mud pit, like a mud drag. While I can appreciate someone putting R&D to the KJ, I'd like to see it go in a realistic direction. |

I'm sure I'll see one of those twelve inch lifts installed on a local Liberty! Here in the neighborhood very soon... It will be parked next to his totally stock, lowered, flamed, silver PT Cruiser with the aluminum Mr. Gasket Street Scoop! Installed using double sided 3M adhesive tape! Yup, I watched him install it! The butterfly valves never ever open when he starts it or drives it! Just like this one pictured in this link! http://www.jegs.com/p/Mr.+Gasket/744198/10002/-1 Some people! |
