My brother said that last night when I left his place that my catalytic converter sounded like there is a rattle...
Is this possible that there is a mechanical problem or something loose?

insides come loose sometimes and can cause a rattle, when it cool get underit and hit it a few times, if it rattles its bad and needs replaced, if under 80,000 miles it's a warranty claim

Yep the cat's are covered for 8years/80,000miles as long as there is no signs of abuse or damage.

Ok, I went out and banged on it pretty hard with my hand and I got nothing!

Should I still take her in and have them look her over? considering my 7/70K is gone?

No I bought it from an old member named Dennis.... He had a Red 02 back in the day.. Well he got in a wreck and totalled the KJ...I think he was originally a colorado guy.. But moved to OHIO!!!
I think it may be a Rusty's skid....

Yeah, right! if it's a direct-fit cat it has 3 cats in it...

If it has 3 cats, it's going to be more than $167 IN SCRAP, let alone new

What about the magnaflow cats? You get both cats and pipes up to the muffler for a little over $500.
