Good luck, those bushing are a pain in the stupid to replace,I actually bought the correct OEM specific tools to remove/install the front LCA bushings, broke the tools.Dealer wanted $1200 to replace the 6 bushings, bought new LCA's for $400(which came with new bushings installed) and installed myself, problem fixed.

Shouldn't really matter. Control arms, sway bar endlinks, sway bar, clevis, etc.. is all the same. The only difference is the engine (obviously), front cvs, springs and transmission.

TJ, what about the outer bushing on the LCA's for the fork, I have the old bushing removal /installer for the older Mopars it seems to be like the one in the FSM. Mine is starting to crack and it looks like its really crushed. Dont like the looks of it. Thanks.

Those where the main ones I was trying to change and broke the OEM specified tools for removal/install.Took all of about 30 seconds to break the 10mm,hardened threaded rod for the tool,no impact either just a 1/2" ratchet.

As you said, those are the ones in question here, my concern is that as we know we can probably get them out, but will the new ones press in. It would be a shame to buy new LCA's just for the outers. I have the new ones sitting in the garage, I did a lift for one of the locals and someone sugested to change them , but in fact an 02 with no miles his were still in good shape, so he gave them up. Other wise Ill just get new lowers as you did.

There not that cheap anymore sadly, did mine almost 3 years ago,but it was better then $1200 in labor alone for a shop to just install new bushings.

Sure the 2 LCA mount bushings could be done with a 20ton+ shop press and the proper setup to hold the LCA's without breaking it(cast iron, brittle),the clevis bushing is another story, good luck with those.

Thanks, Troy, I guess there is only one way to find out, maybe if I soak them down enough with PB it will make it better, even though I dont think it will penetrate, they look like they are very , very tight, and I have no rust under my KJ so I can see the edge very well, there just looking at me saying Go ahead tryit!! Thanks again, man.
