Due to cost, I wonder if anyone is running something like a ARB in the rear and a DTT in the front. I have read a few posts in which everyone seems very happy with the DTT in the front.

Is a set up like this possible? Would there be any issues in having this type of setup? I guess I could just save a little more for the full ARB but thought maybe just the rear would be good. Any suggestions?

True it is a great set up, but due to the nature of the aluminun case in the front, I would run DTL in the rear and ARB in the front.

if your going to use an ARB in the rear.. i'd just wait and pinch penny's till you could get one for the front as well since you'll already have the compressor all installed/plumbed. ARB's front and rear is the best possible set up for our KJ's.

Run the OX locker in both axles. It'll cost about the same and they are selectable also. Plus you get diff covers :D

Because it will not work, not that it will not fit but the needed diff cover will not fit due to the D30A mounts would interfere.

I'm a big fan of ARB's but F/R ARB's in a KJ is not the best since you are limited to when you can actually engage that front ARB and still turn unlike the DTT which will automatically compensate.I believe the DTT in the front and ARB is the best setup for a KJ,I know that setup has worked better for me then F/R ARB's as in I could go more places with ease then a F/R equipped KJ.

Oh and they also do not make a OX locker for the 8.25 either so basically OX lockers are out for a KJ unless you change both F/R axles.

Thanks for the suggestions. Its still a toss up I guess between full ARB and DTT..... I guess I will see how much more money is left in the piggy bank and make the decision..
