Does anyone know the gear ratio of the 05 transfer case? I believe it's the 242?

My 2005 doesn't have the full time option and is the 231. I didn't know they put different ones in the 2005s.

Full time is a Sport vs Limited thing.

The command trac (231) is standard. The selec trac (242) is optional with the full time. Usually found in the Ltd model but it is possible to find it in one of the other KJ models I think (not positive). The 242 was also used optional in other jeeps (XJ and WJ). Low range is 2.72 on both as was said.

The 4.1 low was (is) used in the Rubi 231 t case and sometimes referred to as rock-trac. Interesting that you can get a kit to change either t case.

Someone can correct me if I made a mistake as I do not mean to mislead anyone.

Be vary careful with those terra low kits, pro install is needed(for warranty) and you can not exceed 2500-3000rpms or you will blow the t-case apart with the terra low in it.They can not handle higher rpms. After the $1000 for the kit and couple hundred for install might as well save just a little more and get a RockTrac, save a little more and get a AtlasII.
