Difference between 02-04 & 05-07 skids??

Post subject:  Difference between 02-04 & 05-07 skids??
Is there a difference between the mopar skids for 02-04 kjs and the ones for the 05-07's?I was lookin on justforjeeps.com and all of them seem to say for 05-07. Any signifigant difference?

the skids themselves are different, justforjeeps don't have the older skids anymore :?

i wanna say someone used one of the newer skids and modified it to fit?

They haven't had the older ones for a while. I bought mine a year on a half ago and they were the newer ones. But they will work on the 02 04. just have to drill a couple holes and cut the front tabs off of the trans skid.

Didnt they make the front skid thinner also? I remember someone posting some pics of it, cant remember for sure though.

Yep the '02-'03 front skid was almost twice as thick as the newer skids are.

I got lucky on the front skid my daughter has a 02 and she didn't need her skid so she gave it to me.
