Use a ball type universal joint and a lot of extensions |

There is no other way to get to those bolts but through the engine compartment right? No special top secret passage under the wheel well guards or anything? |

Yep a impact universal joint(ball type) and a 15" extension is needed to get those back bolts out.Oh and make sure the engine is cool also or those manifolds will get you good. |

It's not that bad. I did it myself twice. You need to have a long enough extension(s) for your socket wrench. On the passenger side, you have to take out the air box and on the drivers side you will have to take out the battery. With extensions, your socket wrench should be located near your radiator. That is how long it needs to be. |

passenger side 25/30 minutes tops , drivers side 40/45 tops and I stopped , drank , drank some more and never took the battery out. Only the drivers side rear is a pain rest very easy |

Thanks to tommudd's previous insight on the Al's A-Arm install about year ago - I had all the extensions and swivel socket I needed to install the Gen 4.5 A-Arms - with those suggestions I was able to use the an Air Impact Wrench back around the radiator to blast that stinking nut off |
