My Rusty's tank skid came in today

after dropping 170 lbs of TR rear bumper and almost killing myself i managed to get it on with no problem

with a bit of wrestling with a few pieces of telephone pole, a tow strap, a ratchet strap.. two roof rails and a front recovery point I managed to get the bumper off the ground in an upright position and back onto the vehicle

anyway, the skid came pained with some pretty tough glossy paint, after i beat the paint off one corner with a hammer getting it aligned, I repainted it matte black to match my bumper

also modified and installed a new mopar tranny skid, couldnt find one for an 03 so had to drill a hole in it and beat the crap out of the drivers side where the exhaust goes

haven't found out if its going to cause a rattle yet , we'll see

in anycase.. the UPS guy broke a sweat unloading them off the truck :D

My UPS guy now pulls up and toots the horn so I can go out and help him unload stuff, he has ever since he dropped the Kilby gas tank skid on his foot    He said the other day I should take up knitting as it would be lighter stuff to deliver

Glad you got everything back on!!!!

the bumper on the other hand

yeah.. that was the work out

but yes, it's built right up there with a kilby, i was unable to find any fault with it what so ever other than the laser cut RUSTY'S which I will cover up with something :P
