Did you grenade the front diff casing on a drop?

Not sure, but I'm guessing if you removed the CV shafts to the wheels and left it in 2WD, that would keep the front pumpkin from spinning.

Probably have to remove the front driveshaft because that spins in 2wd drive.

Errr, I would have thought taking out the CV shafts would resolve that tricky bit... The transfer case end should be free-spinning when in 2wd.

I need to pull the whole D30a, and 'i would rather not just crawl under it and start loosing bolts.

It's not hard..............

1-pull CV's out(drain diff 1st)
2-remove front driveshaft
3-remove 3 diff mounts(2 of the 3 will require both front LCA removal)
4-remove front diff
5-get alignment

It's really that easy but will take some time.

Did you install your own lift? If you did you already know since the whole front suspension needs to be removed like the struts and knuckles.

its pretty easy to take out the whole front diff. get one cv axle out. the easier side was the short shaft side. then drop the diff from there

how else can I get the D30a out? When I had my DTT installed he pulled it out without taking off the struts :?

You can do it without pulling the struts did one of them that way , taking them out of the way gives you a "little" more room is all! Also I didn't remove the right side lower control arm, just loosened the bolts and moved it over a little

It not hard just get under there and look and you can see what needs to go
