Post subject:  Steering questions after lifted KJ.

After BB lift http://jeepetorp.blogg.se/2009/april/pu ... ll-kj.html the outer wheel seems to turn too much. It did that before the lift also, but not so much.
Is there some adjustment to do to the steering rod? Or is that to be replaced whith something else, that are connected to the wheel at a higher point?
Allmost the same effect as a dropped pitman arm for the XJs...

I belive that the problem are the angle at the steering rod... It is now pointing down, instead of straight out to the wheel.

Does anyone else have the same problem, and what to do about it?

Get a alignment, after that nothing can be done besides a cradle drop but that's more hassle then it's worth.

I just lifted my Wifes KJ (Franken Lifted). It steered awful and was screeching (lots of toe) the wheels down the road to the Alignment shop. Get a good alignment and your problems should go away. :)
