Post subject:  Engine 'miss'
Hi all from New Zealand!!

Over tha last couple of days I have noticed a 1 second or so 'cut' in power (like a long miss) when sitting at open road speed. :o Coincidently both times I was on cruise control and doing about 100km/h (that's 64mph ish). My truck is an '02 3.7 V6. It never used to do this at all and has done it twice in the last 3 days. :shock:
Anyone have any thoughts? :?:

When is the last time it has had the sprk plugs replaced? Wife's KJ did it and I replaced the plugs and miss was gone. Also you can check the wires.

Try the plugs. They are easy to change and cheap.

Hi,
Last service....10000km ago. New plugs. I don't get any engine check so hopefully shouldn't be a crank sensor or similar - never say never though I guess!!!

Ya, I had the Kj miss with the crank trigger and it did light up the Idiot light. Perhaps you have some carbon that flaked off and blow across a plug. Only other thing I can say is water in the Gas tank.
