| Post subject: | No rescue Points :( |
Hey Guys, My Libbys still stock. And when I bought it, it didn't come with any rescue points. I'm looking for a cheap solution, and I noticed ebay has some Tow hooks for sale, rear's ( http://tiny.cc/zdDiD ) and front ( http://tiny.cc/1zgLy ) . My questions are: 1. Will a 2002 tow hook fit on a 2007 liberty limited? 2. Realistically will they work? If I get stuck and someone hooks a chain\winch onto my jeep via the hooks, Will they hold up? I'm a college student working full time to make ends meet, so I'm looking for a cheaper solution so I can feel a little safer while exploring the trails. Thanks for any help -Chris |

I like the idea of the farm equipment one, Wonder if the same thing could be duplicated for the back? Also the pics arn't loading on the 2nd one for the farm shackle on the 06. |

rated shackles and a snatch strap I've been pulled out twice so far out when I used to drive my old cherokee by chains. |

The Factory Hooks are strong enough for almost any recovery. Yes, shackle mod is stronger, but IMO it's overkill and the OEM hooks are a lot easier on the install. For the rear I'd recommend a hitch over a hook. |

I installed the OEM hooks. Pain to install with bumper in place but do'able. I have the hitch "D" ring in the back. I think I got it from Rusty's? |

In my opinion getting a hitch and d-ring for the rear is the best value. Unless your going to upgrade your rear bumper then the rear tow hook would be easier to sell later on. |

The link provided doesn't work for me either. Go to the KJ page and scroll down to the original thread, if still interested. |

So this might be a stupid question, The other day I was rotating my tires and looked under the tail of my jeep for where a hitch might mount. I didn't see anyspot that wouldn't require my bumper to be cut. Am i wrong in thinking that? or Is there something I'm missing? Thanks. |

I have a class 3 UHAUL hitch and it works fine for me. Works good as a rear skid too.
