Post subject:  Lift with OEM coil springs from another suv?

Have someone tried to fit an OEM coil spring from another SUV which fit in the KJ to lift about 2.5??...

I have been reading this forum for months and I know the best option would be OME or Franky, but I’m in Venezuela. Here the only lift for KJ I can find is the OME or Iroman, but here it cost a lot of money (about USD 2500)…

I have a friend who lift 3” his XJ with front OEM spring from a ford pick-up, and these spring fit great in the XJ without any mod.

Have someone tried something like that??

No, because the front of the KJ require a very small front spring diameter. I don't think there is any other 4x4 around with something that looks like ours...

Gracias Tony

The front spring looks like a very smal diameter, but I think most of the IFS must be like that... The front springs from a WK, KK or another IFS GM, Ford, Toyota, etc are bigger??

I think I read somewhere the inside diameter of the front spring is 82 mm...

Here there are some polyuretane or aluminium BB lift (1.5" - 2.5") but I would prefer a full coil spring lift. Most of the BB I have seen here are OTT or a clevis spacer like the Rough Country lift...
