When the powertrax in my Dad's 02 renny started to pop and make noise, it was too late. the unit had eaten itself and was freewheeling the pass side axle. took aver two hours to finegle the c-clip out, as the metal was mushroomed over. All of the teeth were stripped off the couplers, and half of the springs were fubar.

Some popping and banging is ok but if its constantly clicking when he is turning then something is up. Mine got to where it wouldnt even lock up so out it came. And yes, that C-clip sucked something awful to get out.

I had it in there for around 2 years and I used new springs when I installed it. Not sure if they would wear out that quick or not.
