Post subject:  Nervous lift time!!

Finally going to install my frankenlift and a-arms I've had sitting around for the last month! Me and two buddies. I've read as much as I could and borrowed the tools from someone I work with!
Figuring its prob going to take anywhere from 4-8 hours to do, none of us have ever done any suspension work! Guess I'm just really nervous about messing up! Any last minute advice would settle my nerves!

Also wonder from ppl who have done it, at what point did you install the a-arms? After you take the stock suspension off? Kinda freakin out right now since its my DD

Do the a arms after you get the stock coil overs out.... PB blaster is your friend :D

Just take it one step at a time, the install is very simple if you take your time and do it step by step

I've heard that before! What exactly is the pb blaster? From what I read it looked like all the tools I have gotten to do my lift will work with the a-arms also.

I searched and didn't find any how-tos for the a-arms so I'm just using the instrucs that came with em

if you have a ball style universal joint, it makes doing the a arm bolts easier

PB Blaster is a rust dissolving spray should hit all of the bolts two days ahead of time at least any parts store has it!
If you look under the hood you can see the bolts for the UCAs 4 bolts two per side is all that there is for them

Dang too late Digger beat me!

In order to correctly install the lift you must have sufficient beer to drown a yak. If you have that, then it will be no problem. Take your time & enjoy the end result.

Print off in big letters, the instructions that have been set forth and have them handy.

You are lucky that the Frankie is preassembled. A lot of headache, risk of death or serious injury with the removal of the spring and strut plates, which you don't have to worry about (i.e. spring compressors fit and work right).

Step back after a few steps and look at every step you just did to be sure you did everything and correctly.

The rear is real easy.

Are you starting late Sunday?

It is an addiction like anything else. They have addiction clinics for beer, cigarettes, sex, stealing, and all kinds of other things.

Next up on Lifetime Network is Dr. Drew on "how to kick the habit of wanting to tear the front suspension out of your KJ every week! "

They have already contacted me
