:?: Need more info on this .
I bought an OBDII scanner, plug it to my truck , got this P0841 generic code.
transmission pressure sensor switch, is it this sensor that doesn't work or do i miss some tranny fluid?
did fluid change last august.Unable to track when this code was register on my truck's computer.
thanks

Assuming that your MIL light was not on, the code was logged once and has not been logged again, or was logged more than once but not enough to trigger the MIL light.

Most OBDII vehicles require a fault to be set multiple times within so many drive cycles before notifying the driver. In your case, the code may have been caused by the transmission's hydraulic pump loosing prime - line pressure failed to reach spec. within specified time.

I am not overly kind to my Liberty and commonly dump the trans in gear before the starter stops spinning even after an overnight shutdown. Sometimes the trans fails to engage for the first few seconds when I do this. I am guessing that you have also experienced this. The slow build in hydraulic pressure may be due to a defective trans oil filter that was used in some vehicles. There are two filters in the transmission; a spin on inside the trans oil pan as well as the usual pickup filter. If you experience slow engagement, and have not done a filter/fluid change, changing this filter(s) may help both the code and slow engagement.
In my Jeep, changing the filters & fluid helped but did not eliminate the problem. Chrysler claims no harm is done by this noted defect.

first ,thank you Jc Gilmour
for a fast and complet answer.
my TRANS TEMP light went up but not my MIL last summer after a pretty rough trail.
Did a fluid /filter change. then tranny start to slip(did not engage from P to D)just after the fluid change.
It probably at that time the code was register .Add some more fluid ,then it was Ok .
but a still have this freeze frame code on my truck .Can I erase it?
also ,you mention a second transmission filter. .
i think that you're talking about the cooler return filter on a 45RFE tranny , right
it's sit beside the primary filter.
Mine has a 42RLE transmission
thanks anyway for you good info. :D

You could erase the code but it should clear itself eventually if not logged again.
