Does anyone know if any other mopar CV's will fit the libby?

I am looking for something a little longer, but will still bolt to the differential and hub.

I have something in mind that this will all make sense, but we just had a baby, so I'm trying to do some research the "easy way" first :)

Sorry for being lazy.

Longer axles?

would be fun to see your wheels pop of when you flex....

Or do I misinterpret the question?

I was thinking the same thing, I thought the CV's got shaved down shorter so they could flex more?

Scroll down and watch the video.

http://www.chaosfab.com/86000.html

I am trying to figure out if there are "off the shelf" axles available for this.

I just ended up acquiring a fab shop (my old employer) and have been thinking of testing something like that out for our liberties...

The longer axle would be necessary to achieve more articulation for a given amount of lift.

Does anyone have a Durango? What front diff does it have?

Mark

Are you building longer A-arms? That would be the only reason you would need longer CV shafts...

i have to ask ,,, why? the cv's don't seem to be near the problem that the front diff is. if you want to build something cool ,,, look into a tj/xj axle swap kit... i've been collecting parts for my swap ( within a month or so) my plan is it keep it low , maybe 2" over stock .

Why? Because swapping out upper and lower control arms, along with axles and springs is a lot less involved than removing everything to do with your original suspension to go for a SFA.

I understand that the front diff is an issue, but we all know that you can't go beyond a 33" tire with it... so if getting more articulation out of a stock style setup works, then it simply makes the 33's more useful.

Flex is what kills CV joints.
