Does anyone know what size bolts does the factory use for mounting hole on the rear of the factory engine skid plate? (they also are needed to hold up the front of the tranny skid plate shown below)

Is it 12mm x1.75?

I'm missing them





Obviously the wheeling season has taken a toll on Skid Row! (time to bang them flat again...)

From the Just for Jeeps website instructions sheet they appear to be 18mm lag bolts. I thought they were nutserts.

Good find Liberty, it does indeed look like the head is 18mm. Don't know if he has the front 2 bolts for the engine skid. They are the same size threads.

Oh and you might want to put some anti-seize compound when you put those screws in. When I tried to mount my transmission skid plate under the engine skid plate I snapped off the screws.

Thanks guys - the bolt head was 18mm if I remember (it was a year since I last removed the skid to bang it flat) However - since the bolts are now missing - the thread size is what need so I can source some new bolts (the dealership has crazy prices for hardware!)

M10 x 1.5 is the thread for the transmission, transfer case, and engine skids. Also for the welded nuts on the front of the engine skid, if anyone uses them to mount a radiator skid / mud deflector.

I'm sure you can come up with a usable length.
