Speedo some times works when cold. But almost never when warm, Any ideas? I guess I should go loose wire hunting:)

Its a 04 3.7 auto with the 231.
I might get killed for saying it but I thought the Liberty was a ladys jeep but after getting one I am loving it. Still drives like a Jeep. Still needs fixed like a jeep.

TO BE.

Still needs TO BE fixed like a Jeep. I hate when people say "needs fixed" or "needs repaired" or "needs inspected" or "needs painted". I've been seeing it a lot lately while perusing Craigslist.

TO BE.

Didn't people go through middle school English classes?

Sorry Scramblerone, I didn't mean to single you out. I can be an a$$hole sometimes.

Grammar Nazi.

Often when speedos stop working when warm it's that it quit working because the ECM or PCM is warm and the failure is in that component instead of the instrument cluster or the actual speed sensor

does it drop dead once warm and never twitch again and have you noticed any strange shifting behaviors or STALLS once the speedo quits working?

If not, it again points towards ECM/PCM and i don't recall which has the sensor data to instrument cluster leads
