How hard is it to replace. ? got some new hankook dynapro arm rf10 tires that are awesome looking on the liberty. good deep tread and great reviews for 125 a tire. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/filter ... 9&sw=false

I think you are referring to the rubber bushing on the end of the coil over shock. You would have to replace the coil over to replace the bushing.

Ok, yes the coil over shock is what I am referring to. Looks like the bushing is cracked and pressed down (or the bolt is off center) . I bought this 2003 liberty 4x4 used. I am thinking it has been lifted but not sure. If I replace the shock how can I tell if it is stock or a replacement. Is length a issue, if say, it has been lifted 2 inches? Maybe I should start saving for a whole new lift kit. what I have seems to work though. The actual part is in the lower control arm where the fork from the shock attaches.

I stand corrected. It appears the bushing is its own piece that is available. (assuming you are referring to #13 on the diagram from the diagram above)

Looks like you can pick up that bushing for about $10 from rockauto.com

TJKJ tried to get them out and couldn't, not even with the special tool (it broke).

He ended up buying new LCA's.

Maybe you can cut them, then drill. To get the new ones in you would need a shop press...
