I've got a CRD KJ. Im interested in a Franky CRD Premium lift. Ill be adding an ARB bumper and Warm M8000 winch with some Hella lights. Can those of you with experience please educate me as to whether Ill need any extra spacers front or rear to help the truck sit level? I plan on some Firestone Destination MT tires (235x85x16 - 32" tall) and some 4.10 R&P with a rear ARB. Add some rocker skids and that should round off my truck until I can afford a SFA.

Thanks for the advice in advance.

Tom

I've got a premium grade Frank with a heavy bumper,big winch,extra battery,ton of recovery stuff,with no extras.245's though.
You'll never be as high as the lifted 3.7 next to you. It's the cold hard truth, but you'll sound better.

Shaggyislandboy and JL both have CRD's with 32's.

How is that fitment with 32's? Thanks for the reply. So no extra isolators are necessary for extra lift. Good.

Joe, you already have 4.10 gears...

On the lift, instead of the magical 'Franky' I would just get springs and shocks and assemble the stuff myself. Why pay for it. (The CRD Frankenlift is nothing more then a pre-assembled OME H/D kit).

You don't have to use spacers, but if you want some more lift you can use topplates and clevis lift etc just like our gasser brothers.

For 32" to fit prepair yourself for lots of modifying of the front wheel wells and you are going to need some extended bumpstops to keep you fender flares on...

Tony - 2.8's in the US only came with 3.73's.

The folks I remember running either 265/75/16 or 235/85/16's
CRDMiller
BCool
JL Rockies (swapped to 4.10's)
Shaggyislandboy
Durangotang (the only 265/75 - everyone else was 235/85)
Pablo (swapped to 4.10's)

Pablo has a lot of detail on his Cardomain
(he managed to correctly install an original CRD Frankenlift with the spacer - without tearing CV boots)

The only CRD's to come with 4.10's I believe are the very early versions with the 2.5.

Hey TJ, I was looking at Randys Ring and Pinion for 4.10 gears. What exact front end gears do I need to get? The short D30 gears? Or the normal D30? Secondly, I was going to get the Yukons, but it seems as thought there arent Yukons for that axle.

The only company that makes the correct gears for the front D30A is Dana/Spicer.

The D30A pinion shaft is longer than the pinion for the steel version

FYI - this guy posted over on KJcountry - don't know him - just saw the post
