Post subject:  New clunk....again...

So, not more than 2 months after doing my engine mounts to resolve a mysterious clunking issue, I have a new one. Here's the symptoms:

- thunk noise (one) occurs when turning to the right (from a stop, sharp bend in road, etc)
- another thunk occurs about 100 feet down the road (almost like a reciprocal "popping back into place" noise...)
- haven't noticed anything when going to the left
- Happens in 2w or FT4w
- Only noticed when on road (but haven't been offroad in a few months).
- seems to happen when going slowly or at a moderate clip.
- sounds like it's coming from the right middle/rear from inside the cabin

My thinking is that this is something suspension related since it happens only when turning (and then slightly afterwards while going straight). Is there something that might be loose (spring mount, bushing, etc) that would exhibit this kind of symptom?

hhhmmm i haven't the foggiest, almost sounds like a cv, but it's not in the right place and there would be multiple clunks/ ticks when your turning, or putting power to the front wheels...

if your swaybar link bushings are shot, sometimes they'll bind and pop, but they make more of a cracking sound than a clunk

loose calipers will do it too

before you do anything tho, check the door pockets on all the doors for that socket you accidentally dropped in it that's rolling around?? (speaking from experience)

Normally you get that type of popping noise when turning from balljoints. Our '05 has a "banging" noise everytime we hit a hard bump, tire shop said everything was tight, just normal suspension/tire noise...drives me nuts cause I can't find it.
Hope you find yours.
