BDS lifts say they come with a top plate bracket that puts pretension on the strut, or something. Anyone familiar with this part? Is it basically the same as a top plate shim? Someone has a BDS lift and is asking me if he can add my shims, and frankly I have no idea.

Boiler they should work with maybe only one problem. I am not sure ( can't remember now) how long the bolts are that come with it. Bolts are shipped loose so longer grade 8 bolts maybe able to be used if the included ones are not long enough. I would think the 1/4 plates should work though.
Someone with the kit maybe able to enlighten us on how much bolt is sticking up past the nut on top.

Also go to their site and look up KJ kits it shows a picture of what they use.

I can't remember how long the ones were on Chris' ( sperb) when we did his BDS lift, I'm thinking they weren't too much longer over stock. IIRC, we had to make sure 1 or 2 of them had to be in the top plate when we put assembly together as isolator covered them (they were toggle type bolts with square under heads).
The BDS top plate bracket is similar to the Daystar top plate I think, not sure what this "pretension" is about, looked similar a stock one other than the center section was recessed about 1-1 1/2"

Ok thanks. Their picture is so small on the website that I thought they just had a pair of shim like parts in there.
