Did a search but no luck. I'm currently piecing together my lift, but I'm worried about the UCA angle and lifespan. I'm doing a spring lift with OME's, but didn't plan on any clevis lift, strut plates, or bumpstops for the front (unless the bumpstops are required, but I thought only the rear needed this?). When I actually get to put the lift on, how can I check to be sure the UCA's are OK to use? Also, what is the usual lifespan of the stock UCA's? Any other points I need to keep an eye on with the lift would be great too. It's my first time dealing with suspension, so I want to get this right.

I ran mine lifted for over 70,000 and no problems with the stock UCAs. I switched out due to a deal on some JBAs. Now with that said one member here in Toledo with an 06 had his go bad at 35,00 or so and now one of my old arms is on his. He only had the Rustys coil lift so not high at all. So back to your question....like anything they can wear out at any time. Just have to keep checking them. |

I still have my stock UCAs with 94K hard miles on them. If the JBA arms were free, I'd still have a hard time justifying them. |

My UCA's only lasted 5,000KM after the lift. Both boots are cracked on the inside, I replaced them with a set of a wrecked one Switching to JBA's in September. |

my stock ones lasted 14k with the lift on but, i'm not totally sure when they went bad. I actually found out that the passenger side was bad when i put my foot against the tire to tie my boot and it made a pretty loud "clunk" LOL maybe should keep up on stuff a little closer. |

Knowing me I'll pull the same stunt and say "I swear I know why it just did that..." |

Mine went about 30,000 miles lifted, got a cracked boot and clunking noise now at 54k, already got the JBA 4.5s sitting in the back seat, just need a break from college to install

From the posts it seems it's a hit or miss. Guess I can just hope mine are alright now, and will survive being lifted for awhile.

the only thing I can tell ya for sure is that for some reason it drives better with the JBA's. I'm sure someone will clarify... |
