You will have to unbolt the fron dif on the passenger side and support it some so you can have the wiggle room to pull the unit out.

FYI - phxtoad put new bushings in without pulling the rack

http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=504479#p504479

and then a quick comment about pulling it.
http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=478913#p478913

I think the book is 8-12 hours including pulling the front diff - tjkj2002 did one in a Moab campground in ~4 hours - by the wiggle steering rack around (he described it somewhere - but I didn't find that post)

Correction - not new bushings. Just some temporary rubber washers, but it does the trick for now. Here's Troy's write-up from over on KJCountry. http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36987&highlight=steering+rack

I'm just one of "Lifes Passengers" so that means even when I'm on the Drivers side, for me, its still the passenger side.

We didn't get the rack out on Sunday ( quite a few misadventures) but, we did install some nolathane washers at the top of the steering rack bolts, that is a good band-aide till we have another go.
