2002, 3.7, 100k miles

Going to have to replace the radiator soon and looking to get the hoses at the same time.
The stock heater hoses are crimped to the metal pipes. Gates replacement hoses shows only the rubber hose part. Looks like the ”hose assemblies” are a factory item .
How’s it intended to replace these hoses to the metal pipes ? Will you cut the crimp piece off and install the new hose with a clamp ? Is it that straightforward ?
Anyone done this procedure ?
