I need to upgrade to more traction on my Liberty. I am not a rock climber except in a isolated case, I am a storm chaser and tends to drive in mud and rain/hail covered roads. The issue for me is the heavy rain, on two occasions my Liberty has taken off to the left about a 45 degree angle, once pre-lift and recently with a lift. I need more traction both front and rear and from the zillion posts I've read I don't believe a true locker is the best answer in heavy downpours. That said I'll listen to reason because you folks seem to know best. Right now from what I've read I need a Detroit TrueTrack DTT in front and maybe a PowerTrax or Aussie-Locker in back. The ARB Air Locker is too much dinero for me since I just just busted my NV231J transfer case (135,000 miles) and will be ordering a new one ($761.09) from wholesalemopar.com along with a front drive shaft.

Any recommendations that will keep me more stable/ going in a straight line will be appreciated...... thanks!

Hate to say it but for what you are doing the ARB front and rear would be the BEST! I don't see where a Powertrax or Aussie would be the best bet for you and what you do. You want maximum traction on wet roads mainly so don't see the other lockers providing that for you

Not sure what type of tires you are running but that will also be a huge factor when driving in the down pours that you are going through

For rain and snow, I would go DTT based on what i have read in the past. I have an ARB for the rear and will be buying a DTT myself for the front.

Maybe OK with DTT with most of what the rest of us do, but not when he's ( the OP) traveling down a highway and just has lots of water on the roads to deal with, little difference I would say
