Assuming the clutch is engaged.Are connections to battery tight.
Is solenoid accessible to check for corosion?

I bought my Liberty about 2 months ago, it came with a Warn 9.5xp winch. It did not come with the remote or cable. So the other day i bought a remote and plugged it up and hit the button. It made a clicking noise then stopped. Everytime i hit the button it would make this noise. Was just wondering if my winch was no good anymore or if a part had gone bad? Any input would be great. Thanks |

sounds like the solenoid is sticking. If you're sure power is connected to the Batt, try smacking the control box like a starter on an old Chevy van (while operating the switch). All this assumes you have a compatible remote too. |

There are rebuild kits available from Warn if you need to replace a solenoid. http://www.warn.com/store/service_parts.jsp Can you post a pic for us? We all like to see a pic of a winch on a Libby. |
