clevis vs. isolators

hello to all... im a newbie with some questions so be gentle.... lol i installed rusty's 2.5" kit like an idiot.... i was pressed for cash and didnt do it the right way to start.... i know..... so now ive found some rsx17505's and some rsx17004's still available..... ill be ordering ome 927's and 948's in a couple weeks. one thing i have going for me is i did use terraflex bumpstops up front and a few pucks in the back so i dont need to mess with bumpstops.... the question i have is..... does anyone know how many conduit locknuts up front equal an extra isolator in the rear...??? since im redoing almost everything, id like to get a little extra lift while im under there.... im running a 245/75/16 AT2 and the rusty's coils have sagged up front so i have a little rubbing now at full lock... :banghead:

3 nut conduit clevis lift is 3/8in. This is doubled in actual lift to 3/4 in. 2 rear upper iso pads in an inch of lift. So 2 nut clevis lift is roughly a 1/2 in which equals 1 iso pad.

the OME/Rancho kit should keep things nice and level shouldnt it...? so if i add spacers, i can add them in even amounts... (like 2 conduit nuts to one rear isolator for 1/2" of extra lift front and rear) or am i gonna have to tweak things around a little bit once everything is installed to find the correct match for a level height? im just trying to avoid getting under there 2 or three times to add or remove isolators and conduit nuts...... lastly, would anyone recommend the 1/4" strut spacer over 2 cunduit nuts...? other than the obvious price difference........

is the spacer to lift ratio doubled in both the front and rear alike... (1/4" spacer = 1/2" actual lift)

I believe it's only doubled in the front, but I'm not 100% sure on that. And it should be pretty level right off the bat so if you add 2 conduit nuts to each side that should be a 1/2 inch, and then 1 rear upper iso pad should be a 1/2 inch.
I'm working on getting My lift parts all together now, and I'm planning on using the JBA 1/4in strut plate and a 2 or 3 conduit nut clevis in the front, and 2 upper iso pads in the rear to theoretically get right at 3.5 inches. If you want a little extra lift you can try that. And Im by no means as knowledgable as Tom mudd or tjkj or some of the other veteran members. I've just had it told to me multiple times. :ROTFL:

i really appreciate the info.... i was just lookin at the strut spacer plates from jba.... probably gonna go ahead and order a set. i was thinkin the same setup as you were describing.... 1/4" strut plates and a 2 nut clevis lift and two extra isolators.... or maybe just plates and 1 isolator and see how that settles.... im sure it will all be night and day to the crusty's crap i have now.....

p.s. from all ive been reading on this forum, ive gathered that tom mudd is the freakin man....

isos in the rear usually give about 3/4 to 1/2 of their orig. thickness after they settle, it is after all, rubber

if thats the case, it seems like 3 cunduit nuts for each clevis and 2 upper isos per side should be the ticket for about 3/4" of extra lift......... yay or nay...?

You can do two plus the stock in the rear
Lots of ones run that way

i assume you mean two new plus one stock per side... thats a total of 3 uppers per side... if so then its settled...... im gonna get 6 locknuts for the clevis lift and 4 upper isos to put on top of the stock upper isos... then some uca's from JBA..... should be done in a few weeks and ill post pics... the money pit grows deeper by the minute.........lol

ive got 3 conduits on my 927's and 2 extra isos + the stock one on my jba25's and it was level until one of my jba25's decided it wanted to settle 2/3rds of an inch more than the other
