I will have a go, but would be nice to work off some sketch !! I won't be doing any of the welding or fabricating, so still could do with some help to avoid major catastrophe.  Tks, Fil. |

Take a 2x2, cut it to the length you want the rails. Set it on a couple of jack stands along side your rig. Measure back from the 2x2 to the frame in 2 or 3 locations. Deduct 1/4" for the mounting plates and mark on the 2x2 where you took those dimensions. Measure where you want the 1x1 that will attach to the pinch weld. Mirror those dimensions for the other side and there you have it. That's how I made mine. |

I don't want to take business away from board sponsors, so I'll refrain from posting a link, but ONE of them makes some nice rails that are pretty beefy and well-regarded (I'm looking at buying a pair for my CRD). Obviously shipping to the UK may make a US-based fabricator not an option, but you try negotiating with them to "buy" a set of measurements. Who knows, with the exchange rates, you might actually be better off shelling out the shipping and taking advantage of the depressed (vs the sterling or euro) USD. Dan |

Dan, I am more than happy to be pointed out in the right direction to buy Rock Sliders from a proper builder with eprience (ie someone form the forum), sure it's going to to turn out most probably better than what i can have built over her and probably same price all in all. I have asked around but can't find someone willing to ship to the UK. memebers are selling on her excactley what I want. Any suggestions welcome and if you don't want to post on the board them PM me please. Im only trying to get parts taht are re3ady available in the US but impossible to find over here.
