so i just got my a-arms and im gonna be puttin em in this weekend ...... i assume they come ungreased and was wondering if anyone could direct me to the right type of grease and a grease gun that works best with the zerks....... and do i need to unscrew the zerks a little to pump grease in or are they the kind with the check valves in them and you just pump it in...? any pictures anyone might have would also be awesome.... |

As long as you got the good ones, you don't want to install something that's going to fail. |

IIRC the instructions state install front control arm bolt to 90 ft*lbs, rear control arm bolt to 90ft*lb, ball joint nut to 60 ft*lbs, then grease. The order is detailed in the last page of the instructions posted here: http://jeepinbyal.com/PDF_Files/Installation_of_A-arms_10-06-07.pdf I hope this helps. BTW getting in there is a tight squeeze, I think it was an 18mm socket and a 10" extension with a swivel is what I wound up using. I was working an a CRD though, so I don't know if you will have more room to work with than I had. I hope this helps. Good Luck, Groo2 |

yeah, it's a squeeze, and can be a bear to torque them, you'll have to experiment on what position/location you're able to put the torque on it from without putting yourself in peril of falling or something |
