well the new lift is finished.
front- 927's... 17505's... 3 nut clevis
rear- 948's... 17004's... extra iso per side

im gonna get it aligned tomorrow. drive it for about a month. then add 3/8" strut spacers to the front and level it according to where that settles at in the front. i still have two isolators i didnt add yet. so heres to the crusty's lift that ive had for the past year...... youve been "ok" but move over for the real deal..... cant wait to get out and flex the OME/Rancho setup..... :JEEPIN:

how much did it cost?

Author:  digglesworth [ Mon Jul 12, 2010 11:52 am ]
Post subject:  Re: Done.... For Now......

never really added it all up but here goes...........

365 for springs from heather at ALLJ
450 for a-arms and 4 iso's from marlin at JBA
130 for 17004's from advance auto
220 for 17505's from shockwarehouse.com
10 for conduit nuts and new bolts and washers for the pucks in the rear (had pucks in already but went from 3 to 2 so needed shorter bolts)
70 for the alignment

i will be adding boilers top plate in about a month (thats another 50) and probably throwin in the 2 extra iso's i havent used in the rear yet.
all these prices are with the shipping from the vendors. i had to invest in a grease gun, grease, and silicone spray but that is something we should all have around so i dont think it needs to be included in the price of the lift.....

i know.... i know..... i needs pics. its at the shop getting the alignment this morning so ill snap some this afternoon. then the PITA task of trying to upload them on here......... and ive tried editing my signature like 3 times now and it hasnt worked..... :banghead:

So you have three per side?
What does the height really do? I know it stops it from hitting, but do I just try it with 2 and see if I need the third?

Also, is it just a grade 8 bolt through the pucks? or is it connected to something too?

I am annoying, I know but I want to do this correctly the first and only time!~

Thanks

that will do it.... i went to home depot and got 2 hex bolts about 3 or 3.5in long. i took two pucks with me to make sure they were the right length with a washer on top and bottom. i had about an inch of threads sticking out the bottom. dont get them too long or else they will hit the axle that the spring perch is mounted on..... the bolts/washers along with 6 conduit nuts was less than $10.....

The amount of pucks needed depends on the amount of lift achieved. Each puck is approx 1" in height, so if you get 2" of additional lift then you want to add 2 pucks, over 2" I would suggest 3 pucks, especially if running a larger tire. The need to extend the bump stop is so that you do not over compress the coil (stacking), or stuff the tire in your wheel well, which will happen first depends on your tire size.

Instruction is the same as digglesworth detailed. The only differences with mine is that I have longer bolts because of the additional puck, I used a lock washer as well as a reg washer on the bottom, and I drilled a 1" diameter hole through the top half of the top puck so that the bolt head is counter sunk. You have to drill through the spring perch so that the bolt goes through the pucks and perch to hold the pucks on. Some have glued the pucks in but I don't advise this, since the pucks have to be removed in order to remove the coil which will eventually need to be replaced if not more than once.

Basically jack up the jeep, remove the coil, drill the bolt hole through the spring perch, re-install the coil, slide each puck individually through the coil and center on the perch, once the pucks are stacked insert the bolt and washer, fasten the nut, drink a wobbly pop and admire your work.

Also don't need a Grade 8 bolt to hold them on, any bolt will work

Wow, finding Rancho is getting expensive!

When I put mine on I got the pair of rears for $50 and the fronts for $90, with free shipping from amazon.
