So you have three per side?
What does the height really do? I know it stops it from hitting, but do I just try it with 2 and see if I need the third?
Also, is it just a grade 8 bolt through the pucks? or is it connected to something too?
I am annoying, I know but I want to do this correctly the first and only time!~
Thanks
The amount of pucks needed depends on the amount of lift achieved. Each puck is approx 1" in height, so if you get 2" of additional lift then you want to add 2 pucks, over 2" I would suggest 3 pucks, especially if running a larger tire. The need to extend the bump stop is so that you do not over compress the coil (stacking), or stuff the tire in your wheel well, which will happen first depends on your tire size.
Instruction is the same as digglesworth detailed. The only differences with mine is that I have longer bolts because of the additional puck, I used a lock washer as well as a reg washer on the bottom, and I drilled a 1" diameter hole through the top half of the top puck so that the bolt head is counter sunk. You have to drill through the spring perch so that the bolt goes through the pucks and perch to hold the pucks on. Some have glued the pucks in but I don't advise this, since the pucks have to be removed in order to remove the coil which will eventually need to be replaced if not more than once.
Basically jack up the jeep, remove the coil, drill the bolt hole through the spring perch, re-install the coil, slide each puck individually through the coil and center on the perch, once the pucks are stacked insert the bolt and washer, fasten the nut, drink a wobbly pop and admire your work.
