Hey everyone, just bought a 2006 with 80k on the clock. It runs very well and I can get 22mpg on the freeway. but I've noticed that at idle at stop lights or while moving very slowly between 500 and 1000 rpm I can hear and feel in the pedals a soft thumping. I really hope it isn't a rod going out on my new to me jeep. auto transmission also.

any ideas? thanks!

Does it only do it while your foot's on the brake?

I think it is a bit louder while stopped, but it will do it with the jeep in drive and the e brake on. it seems to be louder under load, like when uphill or etc.
