 Post subject: part time light?

ok this past winter when i went from 4hi to 2hi my part time light stayed on now if i got it in 4hi it goes off and 2hi its on..Anything i can do to make it go off?Or work the way its supposed to? thanks for any info

Transfer case position switch is bad.

Spray some PB Blaster on the cable linkage going back to the transfer case, ( looks like a spring) 03CDKJ did that to his after having the light on for two years and it took care of it.
Worth a try anyways

LOL, I left mine like that. I was in 4 hi and hit a few good bumps and the low light decided to stay on after that. It stayed like that for about 8 months then went back to normal. I never had any adverse issues with the light being on. It still would shift between Hi, Lo and N so I did not care. Yours maybe different though.
