Great state of WV decided my upper ball joints weren't good nuff to pass inspection, so I've got some JBA a arms now. Anyways...that being about a month ago.. I've started getting a noise outta the passenger wheelwell when turning the wheel slowly. Kinda of a pop sound. Not always..just when parked usually or going very slow. Looked at it and had someone crank the wheel and it feels like its most coming from where the UBJ/a arm is connected to the steering assembly. Any thoughts of the top of any ones head? I can post up a clip if needed. |

Check the bolts real good, if you tightened them with the weight off then you need to retorque them. Should install them then install the tires and put the full weight of the jeep on them before you torque them. I assume you have already checked the ball joint itself to make sure its tight? |

i had the same thing on the driver side. ended up tightening the one that is a pita to get to and the pop went away, if i were you i would go ahead and put some more torque on them bolts |

re-torquing the bolts is the best place to start. iirc ive read somewhere that someone had the bolts that mount the ball joint to the a-arm actually coming loose, instead of the ball joint loose at the knuckle. so i would check those also. |
