Post subject:  Lift

I have wanted to put a lift on my Jeep since i bought it. I am so lost on which way to go.
I would like to stay cheap, since i am a college student and do have tons of cash. (I can get a cheap install, I just need the Parts)
I dont do a ton of wheeling but if i get a lift ill probably do like %80 road %20 off.

I will lift anywhere from 2" to 2.5"

I own a 2002 Jeep Liberty Sport 3.7L V6.

Any suggestions.

Details, descriptions, links, and pictures would be greatly appreciated

I am pretty new to this and would like to get involved.

Please help if you can.

OME coils+Rancho shocks: just like it says, you get the OME 927 / Rancho RSX 17505 up front and the OME 948/ Rancho RSX 17004 on the rear.

Is that all i need? Where can I get this? Cost? any info?

Coming from the kid who put his lift on Senior yr of college my advice. Save up until you can afford the full lift, OME/Rancho or equivalent.Took me a little while but when I first asked on the forum like you, I thought a spacer lift will do me fine, I got bashed(politely of course) and was told not to bother and save for the full lift.

I kept battling with people asking them why Spring/Shock lift over spacer. Soon found out why and made the decision that I was gonna buy the lift piece by piece. Well I did it I got all the parts and then came to my next problem. Figuring out how I was gonna get this baby on. Luckily the people on this board are very friendly and willing to help out. Set up a lift party and for the small cost of some breakfast, beer, lunch, dinner for the guys. We basically installed my lift and a crd lift for much less than the cost of a shop. When you wake up hungover Friday-Sunday do the little thing we liked to do called "damage control" (checking how much money you spent last night cause you were so drunk you couldn't remember) and throw whatever you can in a Lift Fund. trust me sounds stupid but , thats how I got my lift faster than expected.

Me being greedy and wanting to get the most lift for as cheap as possible went with :
Front:
OME 927 springs
Rancho17505 Shocks
Boiler 3/8 top plate
3 ring clevis
Teraflex bumpstops

Rear:
OME 948 springs
3 upper iso pads each side
Rancho17004 shocks
hockey puck bumpstops

all for about $650

All i have to say is stick with the major brands and read read read. These forums are your best friend when it comes to everything jeep. I always wanted to lift my jeep but being a college student once again it was kinda difficult to collect the money. But i went OME all the way around and Boiler Top plate and a 3 ring clevis lift. Installed it myself in my fathers ware house with about 4 hours of time and a rented spring compressor. Then had it aligned and my tire installed the next day before driving 400 miles with it through the moutains. The only thing i can say is this is very addictive and one big wallet emptier.

P.S. Stay away from Skyjacker, Rough Country, and Rock Krawler kits. Some people use skyjacker shocks but I promise OME will last the longest and then Rancho/Bilstien.
