Dear All,
Anyone out there had camber alignment issues with the Frankie or Rusty Lifts? Let me know as I think I may be doing a lift on a 2005 liberty.
Cant wait to hear the facts.

The alignment cannot be put back to specs with the franken lift.

I never got my realigned after my rusty lift. Ran about 30k on it with 30k on the new tires, they weared evenly.

I have the rustys coil lift and some other things, see sig below. I guess i ust had a bad tech who couldn't get it back near factory specs. Mine still pulls to one side but haven't noticed any uneven wear as of yet.

Seems to be the case for most because the frankenlift sits a good 1/2-1" taller than most Rusty's lifts. You can still get it pretty close though. Enough to prevent un-even wear and pulling to one side or another.

However according to some people on the board, with new upper a-arms from JeepinAl you can get the alignment back into spec on a frankenlifted KJ.

We are in one accord and I'm not talking Hondas here. My Liberty could not be aligned anywhere near spec right after I installed my Frankenlift. This may very well have been due to the springs not settling(which took some serious bashing and 3000 miles), but once I installed JeepinAl's a arms the frontend geometry seemed to almost fix itself.

No joke, right after I installed the arms it was closer to spec than it had been right after alignment. Also, I was having serious a arm/spring contact until I installed Al's arms.

There is not a doubt in my mind that the Frankenlift is the best lift on the market for the Liberty. I've been doodling with the lift and raised it some more front and rear, now Al's arms are about maxxed out. Doh!

Now ask me what I think about the Rubicon Express 3715 lower control arms for the rear. Hopefully, in the next week or two I'll have my new adjustable upper link from Carolina Rock Shop also. I've just been super busy getting the righ ready for Crozet.

I waited a few months before getting my alignment and my stocks were worn on the outer portion more than they should have. No issues after getting the Service dept at the Chrysler/Jeep to align it. I have Rusty's lift.

I know mines still not right. I get some (scubbing) wear on the rear facing outside edge on the front tires. I just keep them rotated about every 10,000 miles.

Ok, so assumedly when they align the KJ, if they can not get it to specs, they should TELL you right? I had mine done about a week after my lift and tires, and they did'nt say anything about not getting it to specs at all. Bullet does not pull or anything, drives like normal. what do you make of that?

Well if you had someone who was experienced with aligning lifted vehicles htey can get it to drive straight for you. It will still be out of specs according to factory standards but that is only because you changed the setup of the front end. COnsider yourself lucky! :)

Yea, this particular shop does lots of lifted vehicles and they have done a few Liberty's or so they say.... I haven't SEEN any other lifted ones here. But apparently they did a good job so I suppose I did get lucky! :P

Ours drives & handles just fine. It's just anoying that the tires wear funny in the front. I have thought about taking it to a differant shop. The one that did the KJ's alignment was the same one that said it would me almost $300 to get my XJ done. Rustys told me to find a differant shop, so I did.

The new shop checked the XJ while I was there and showed me that caster & camber were ok, only charged me $20 to set the toe-in.
I will never use the old shop again!

I think when I get the Rubi's on I will take the KJ there too. Just to have it rechecked.

After my spacer lift the dealership couldn't get mine to factory specs and it was pulling a little to the right. Now that I got Al arms on the ride is straight but my stearing wheel is turned so I have to get another aligment but I wont be going back to the dealership.
