ok.. i am orig owner 2004 renegade.. it has 155K miles on it.. I only drive it now during winter snows.. or to pull a trailer sometimes.. or just to have fun on a weekend.. i love my KJ.. but this is driving me crazy.. i never got a lift (i want to but $ is tight since we have a 2yr old) but i read on here a thread about torque steer and that the rear control arms bushings were the problem.. so i saved up $ and instead of getting new bushings.. i got 2 new rear control arms and upper control arm with ball joint.. all brand new from morris 4x4.. i got them put in.. the old ones were really worn.. i should of done it sooner.. but i tested the KJ right after they installed the new ones and it STILL torque steers.. i cant understand it.. any clue on what to check now?? i have new tires.. after the control arms were installed i went directly to the alignment shop.. they got it spot on.. they replaced the front tie rod ends as they were worn.. so i cant figure it out.. please help me.. this was never a problem until about 10k miles ago.. it has never been in an accident and has been babied the whole time i have had it.. it has never gave me any problems before this started..

thx in advance..

Is the stuff you got from Morris OEM stuff or aftermarket made? If it's not OEM that is a big issue right there as the bushings are to soft.

How was the rear alignment? I know there is nothing that is adjustable but a alignment printout on mordern alignment racks still shows the rear toe and camber.Knowing the rear toe and camber can point you in the right direction for what is the problem.

i am not sure if its OEM or aftermarket.. it was the part # i saw someone posted in another thread about the lower control arms. I called and talked to someone at Morris 4x4 and he looked it up for me and that was the part they carry. I have the alignment paperwork in the Jeep.. I took it back to the dealer today and had someone ride with me.. the immediately put it on a rack and then looked it over.. while someone was in the jeep and giving it gas you can see on the right side the axle seems to twist at the control arm.. they believe the control arm is defective. I called morris 4x4 and they are going to contact manufacturer and then get back to me.. any ideas? i know others who got the same part and didnt have any more issues.. the dealer seems to think the bushing is actually turning inside the control arm..
