Hey I'll post the pictures by sunday but am planting 33x12.5-15 (32x11) Pro Comp X-Terrains under the KJ tomorrow night. Should be sweeeeeet to go with the OME/Bilstien/Rancho lift lol. I also had some 1/4" spacers made for the lower spring seats of my Bilstein Struts so I'll se how that turns out, and adding Daystar Top plates.

Can't wait to see pics cause i've been kicking around the same idea but can't find anyone with a set that will let me test fit.

Are you saying the actual measurements are 32x11? My 31x10.5-16's are actually 31.3x11.1, not far off from your "33's". If that's the case, they'll fit!

Wait a minute, I thought they were struts? It is a strut assembly up front isn't it? Whats the difference anyway?

would like to see the 33s, still kicking around 32s but probably won't go there.

here we go again. :dizzy: people call them struts because of the spring outside design, but a true strut holds the top of the spindle in position, actually supports weight of car. You can technically remove a front shock'spting from a libby and other than the front will drop down, but the top of the spidle is still held in place. You could technically drive a liberty with shock remove( if you could bolt the spring in there somehow as shock holds that together) inlike if you remove a front strut, spindle/hub would fall over...no driving.

I like my 33's, would like to upgrade to 35's... oh wait, sorry, you're talking libby's here :goink:

are you running 4.10's? I dont think you gonna like the lack of power the 3.73's provide with that big of a tire. :2cents:

Glad someone else brought that up
besides the gearing need a bunch of bumpstops, I know from running 32s and not nearly as wide what I get into

as our Utahian brethren says
just sayin'

Maybe they just want to follow in the footsteps of KJWildman....... A whole drivetrain swap after the KJ grenades itself.

Just sayin'

I Love It!!!

BUT .......

Can't wait til tomorrow to hear how this turned out. I know that even sitting at 23" I had to do EXTENSIVE CUTTING AND WELDING TO THE WHEELWELLS TO GET MY 33X11.50 TO FIT! (and yours will be an inch wider!) Even with extensive cutting to both front and rear wheelwells and running 1.25" Spidertrax I still have a slight rub at the rear of the front tires at full lock and when the 33's tuck in the rear ..... welllllllll ... have a big hammer ready to straighten out the upper part of your fender!

Good Luck!!!!!!!!

I knew that would Happen lol, I'm at 24.25" front and 24.5" Rear with a setup that I won't be showing anyone in pictures...... Until I get it right then you can buy it lol, I spent 6 hours between the Lathe and the strut compressor making a upper strut spacer that is giving me My much needed down Travel, I did have to kut and Modify the front pinch weld SEVERELY god bless Plasma cutters, I moved the rear shock mounts up and changed my rear shock setup to allow for a ton of down travel there to. Anyway I just wanted to say 33" Tires will fit under a Libby with IFS you just have to be creative ( Put your time into developing what works for you instead of hating on other people for getting it done) That being said if I had to pay some one to do all the work I did It would have never happened. as far as 3.73's go with the 33's It works fine I wouldn't want to Daily drive it on the Highway but in town it pretty much didn't change at all from the 31's MPG wise. On the trail it has all kinds of power.

Hating on other people
no just been there, done that, see what works and what doesn't in the long run
Also I build for the long haul / DD not just to drive once a week
and you're joking that 33s and 3.73s work OK
I could not even use OD with 32's until I got rolling at 70/75 but then again once a week guess it will work ( for a while)
Now is that enough hatin' for ya
Good luck
bang!!!!

Trust me it's gone BOOM many Many Times I just wait for that to happen then I modify what I was doing until it works the way I want and move on. Driveshafts, Axles, UCA's,Steering Racks, 8 Steering pumps, 1 Motor. I wheel it hard (not just trail run it). If it hasn't broke it Will and that's how I like it lol. Also No Joke the 33's work fine with the 3.73 Gearing. I'm also not tellin' about my 3.7L Intake Mod just yet maybe in a few more Oil changes when I feel its proven.

how bout some flexing pics? or does it even do that anymore  what did you do for cv angles and such sitting at 24.25"?

Also No Joke the 33's work fine with the 3.73 Gearing. quote

this is the best statement
I know what Larrys does with 33s and also what mine did when I had 3.73s
You can not BS a old time BSer
I really need to come up and take you for a ride with one with 4.10s, you would be so amazed at the difference

But tear it up/break it/ whatever
I enjoy building mine to drive everyday/ go anywhere I want and not worry if its going to break or try and tear it up

Hating on others? C'mon Red......

I don't believe most of us on here are privileged enough to have a Liberty as just a trail rig. Most use ours as daily drivers (more than mall crawling to the grocery in town), to say that 33's will work is a bit, well, is a stretch.

I am glad it works for you, BUT this advice for running 33's should be taken with a grain of salt. You have to go the lengths that Wildman is going to successfully run those tires. I am on 31's and am seriously thinking about re-gearing, the 3.7 with the 3.73 gear ratio just does not have enough bottom end grunt to get it done.

anyway :2cents:
