I'm thinking about getting rid of my factory running boards on my 02 Renny and replacing them with some Super Sliders. My question do the sliders works as steps? I have 2 lil girls that use the running boards to get in and out. Was hoping the Super Sliders would stick out far enough to use as a step. Thanks in advance!

Also the way the tube is angled up on the rro rails I don't think they work very well for a step. My rl sliders don't work very well as steps either really, they're just too narrow.

MY RL work great as steps and they make my KJ look money for the babies... especially when you got the rock rash on top of the slider... it tells the shorties you've been taggin' up some gangsta rocks.

What you want are Rock Lizard's Super Skink Sliders. It's a step and a slider all in one.

I thought RL had stopped making stuff until he got personal matters sorted out (except for stuff he already had on back order)?

That's fair enough - I just thought he'd packed up for a while.

regardless of which direction you went, RRO and having them reinforced, or RL and not needing to reinforce them

you can always have steps welded to the outer bar, OR, have clamp on steps that can be removed for offroading

Just from observation, Marty has usually been pretty quick with the sliders

Yes you can,Marty is trying to finish up back orders on some things as life has not been very good to him the last few months(it's been kicking my a $ $ also).Yes it's hard to get ahold of him sometimes as he does have a life, job, and kids but if you PM me I will forward your request to him.Just hope the recent tragidy to the family that owns/runs the steel supplier he uses does not effect there staying open, was a sad loss but the best steel house I've ever been to.
