Are there any mounting differences between the two bumpers? I see some aesthetic changes, but would an early model fit my 05 with some minor fabrication, or would it be a major ordeal? I'm new to everything here so I'm not sure of any substantial differences aside from the grills & bumpers between the early and later KJ's. Sorry if this is a super-  newbie question

the way that i understand it they mount up the same, but to make it look right you will need to do a lot of work  this is a 02-04 arb on a 05-06 but to make it look right you willl need to buy some parts the parts that you will need is 02-04 fender flares 02-04 turn signals 02-04 header pannal - radiator support 02-04 grille 02-04 wheel well liners if you dont want water mud and such to get all over unless you know of a junk yard that has a liberty, that has been hit in the back and can get the parts cheep. it would be best to buy ARB for an 05-07 |

Not much use saving $150 to spend $200 more on the back end. |

Not wanting to start an arguement here fellas but the ARB on my '05 looks like it sits about 3" higher than the 01-04 bumper on an 05-07. The top side of my bumper is just under the headlight. Way higher than what is pictured here. The top of the bull bar on mine is even with the top of the hood on my Renegade. |

Alright, home from work and can get to photobucket...  The bumper itself sits up higher than in the photo posted by tekman02. Might be bigger differences in the attachment bracket and the bumper structure than one would think.

Yes, the 05-07 bumper definitely sits higher than shown in that photo. I would assume that the actual mount / crumple zone attaches to the KJ frame itself, is the same. I believe that the earlier bumpers are the same height. That specific application must be different than what would normally happen. If I wasn't on my phone, I'd attach some different photos. |
